New Books on My Bookshelf: Week of 6 February 2011
Books I Bought
This is the latest book about Jacob Lansa (featured in Thunder Cave and Jaguar). He travels back his birth place, the Hopi reservation, and gets embroiled in a dispute over a lobo (a Mexican wolf) that some believe is a spirit and others believe is real. Believing that it’s real, Jacob sets out to trap the wolf so that he can take it some place safe before it gets killed
This prequel to the Dragon Keeper trilogy is set in 282 B. C. Danzi’s dragonkeeper has died so the relatively young dragon (He’s only 1,000 years old!) wanders the mountains and forests of China alone. In his travels, he finds a cunning trickster named Bingwen. Danzi tries to avoid this liar, but the dragon’s destiny seems to be tied to Bingwen.
The trilogy titles are: Dragon Keeper; Garden of the Purple Dawn; Dragon Moon.
